u can also ck out some Tbuckets with tops and see the mounting we use.. its a T bracket that mounts to the side of the frame then attached to the top.. go to speedway and see the brackets. u don't need top framing but u will get air flow in the cracked area..

Here is a good place to start, what you might do is order a catalog as it gives more picture detail.
You could do your own engineering from the catalog and no doubt save a bunch of money, I think over the years i have bought and paid for their building as this stuff is expensive but this place has the best quality of all the 55-57 T-Bird places and a full time tech line with people that know what they are talking about.

You will need a header bar at the top of the windshield to clamp the top to when it is on..look in any convert to see how this is done..on the back of the top yu will need some locating fixtures.on the t-birds they were a chrome piece with a hole in them that accepted a pin on the top..Look at a Mazda Miata as the tops on those are very similar to what you are wanting to do..

29 ford roadster
New to the streetrod thing and have a lot to learn.. I have a 29 roadster and just purchased a used custom made fiberglass hardtop. I realize it will need modification to fit, but I can't figure out how to mount it. First, I have no frame on the top of my windshield and am unable to find some kind od hardware / latches to mount and secure the back so that it can be installed and removed easily. I was thinking about the old corvettes and 55-57 T Birds, but can't find any info. Anyone have any helpful hints
