I always wanted to build an open-front limo from two VWs
Somewhere around here, I have some sketches of a '57 Chevy wagon turned limo with a chopped windshield and open-air front section, a Vista Cruiser roof panel, and a C-pillar section from a mid-60's Mercury

I've actually owned several Corvairs over the years and enjoyed them for the most part. I saved this Limo project from a California crusher a few years ago, but I looked at it in my yard one morning and said to myself "Aw come on man" and sold it as it sat. last I heard it was for sale again (still unfinished) in Idaho.

I have never understood the show car deal. If I can't drive it and get dirt on it or run it in an event then I have no use for it. My current build is intended to get me to the burger joint on friday nite and possibly some autocross and a run on the strip.. 1/8 mile..
Even the power tour might be an option..In any case it will be a driver..
