|sedanbob||Since your master cylinder is already on the firewall, it seems like all you'd have to do is re-drill the firewall for the booster, use a 7 or 8 inch dual booster, and replace your master with the same kind with a larger bore -(1" or 1 1/8" as suggested earlier). You will probably have to re-do the lines at the master. Then run a vacuum line to the booster. Should be pretty straight forward.|

If you have the space under the hood, a 7" or 8" single or dual diaphram booster is very common to utilize. They have 4 mounting studs and you will have to reinforce the inside of the firewall most likely. You can then use an early 80's style Corvette master cylinder. They are available in 1" and 1 1/8" bore diameter's which are the most common. Add an adjustable proportioning valve in the rear line and you are good to go.
The job requires a bit of fab work, but if you have the space it is very do-able.

Standard brakes to power brakes
I just moved to the world of streetrods. i picked up a real nice 1934 Pontiac 2dr sedan in a trade. i want to upgrade it to power brakes but not sure where to get the parts. i do not want a frame mounted unit because i have the brakes at the firewall already. just not sure where to start. pic of the new addition to my stable...
