MARTINSR Damn I could get use to driving the Gran Sport every day. Nick is driving Marge and I am "forced" to drive the convertible. Yeah, I could get use to this!

Too Many Projects First day of summer vacation...

I bought a cover for my camper last week and put that on this morning, so I can store it outside.

Then I mixed systemic insect root drench for a Linden tree. While that was slowly soaking into the ground, I mowed the entire yard...took 2 hours.

Then I went shopping for a few things to take to the cabin tomorrow and stopped at a nursery on the way home to buy a hanging basket for the wife for MOTHERS DAY, hint, hint.

After I got home, I mixed more root drench for 2 big ash trees in the front yard.

OH MY GOD how I loath reproduction parts! On another forum I visit a was recommending to some guy to fix his original panels and not buy repro. Some guy goes off on me about I don't know anything, they fit as good as new.....then I saw that he was an advertiser! Man are we lucky to not have that BS here. So then another guy jumps in on me....he is an advertiser too! So I went to his web site and there in one of the first photos I open there is a truck and the hood fits like CRAP, ever loving CRAP! Yeah, if that is what you will put up with I don't want your opinion. Then the other guy, I go to his site, he is a MASTER car building, awesome stuff, and awesome talent to make this repro crap look good! The average home builder that we were talking to in the thread couldn't do what he does without a magic wand!

Geeez, I will do anything to avoid that crap. Some times you have to use it, and it's great that it's available. If nothing else it's something to start with at the very least. But damn the lies that it's exactly as original, give me a break.

But they don't match the rear moulding's size, it looks like crap if you ask me.

If they are repro, they aren't supposed to fit...

Yeah, great huh? Yesterday on our drive I heard noise because I was sitting in the passenger seat and my hearing isn't so good and all of a sudden I am hearing a clicking sound as we went over a bridge with a high side on it so the sound was reflecting back at me. I got home and looked into it and the valve covers had leaked pretty bad off the back of the heads, I guess that's were it all went. But it was two quarts low! I was very glad to have it silent today when I changed the filter and oil and put the correct amount. Likely I haven't been hot rodding it. But the way it's driven so seldom I just never would have thought, it didn't have hardly any miles on it.
