gearheadslife was the ohc 6 dead then... as that be the base engine if still in use

Duke" A friend of mine has a 72 luxury lemans and his has the 400 in it, hope that helps

We're cool, I wasn't upset I was just trying to provide you with some "credentials". Maybe I should have had my coffee first. Canadian Charlie The 350 was the base engine. The 400 was an option

check that 2 letter code die stamped into the block or the car VIN #..... appropriate letter will tell you what. Stamped code will also tell you if the engine has been swapped and what it came from.

Hippie Any I ever saw were Pontiac 350's but an optional 400 was available. The 455 was reserved for the GTO, Trans Am and Formula Firebirds and full size cars.
