82_CUTTINGEVERYTHIN i hear a ticking sound coming from the side of my engine .. could that be the gaskets for my headers ??

techinspector1 Forgot to list gaskets.....

techinspector1 Quality headers have minimum 3/8" thick header flange plates. Lesser thicknesses on cheapo headers will warp up like a potato chip and allow the motor to spit the gaskets out. If you have thin flanges, buy the most expensive gasket you can find so this will not be a weekly operation.

joe_padavano The type of headers are irrelevant as far as the gasket is concerned. All that matters is the exhaust flange pattern on the heads. As noted above, all 1977 Chevy 350 motors use the same exhaust flange pattern and thus the same header gaskets.
