aggie jon I've run a business cutting signs with the CNC machine since 2003. Most of my work has been focused on ranches and farms, cutting lettering, signs, and ornamentation for gates and entryways. Some business signs. Various other things here and there.

Doing this sign really was fun. As I told a buddy who was at the shop the other night, was nice to paint something a color other than satin black. Most of the other signs go out painted black unless otherwise specified. Got to stretch my creative muscles a little.

Garage Signs

Have wanted to decorate my shop with vintage garage marquees and gas/oil company signs. But my pocketbook isn't full enough to cover the walls with real signs, and even the reproductions are a little pricey.

So I realized one day that "hey, wait, I have a CNC machine, I can do this myself". So I did. Customized vertical garage marquee with letters mounted and standing off 3/4". The sign is roughly 7' tall and 2' wide. Not the best picture quality, but for a few hours of work and 2/3 sheet of steel, a fun conversation piece and the start of more items likely to come. My next is a sign that would be similar to one placed on a post or column and will have lights inside the lettering.

Just thought I'd share.
