sedanbob Engine storage stands usually allow access to the flywheel/clutch. The use the motor mount holes in the block, and a couple of the bellhousing holes in the back. Here's one: Small Block Chevy Engine Storage Stand - Speedway Motors, America's Oldest Speed Shop

Engine stand that allows flywheel and clutch access

I am building a SBC for installation in a Jeep conversion project but the engine stand I have, and most eveyone I see grab the engine on the bell housing end.

I need to install a flywheel, clutch, check bell housing for run out to the crank, etc. but can not do that on the current stand.

Does somebody make a stand that comes off the engine mount locations and ?? to allow access to the back end of the engine?
