Toyota/Lexus also makes a V12 version!!!!!
Now if I could get my sweaty paws on one of THOSE engines!
Imagine showing up at a rod run with a car - oh say a 32 Chev - with no hood and a 4 cam, 48 Valve V12 with 12 ram tubes running as throttle bodies.....
(gotta stop - I'm drooling on my keyboard)

Man, I'd have to guess with those big budget R&D programs there's probably good reason for all the covers. Maybe airflow management, corrosion prevention, noise dampening... who know what all they might have going on there. But keeping idle hands idle probably saves them a ton of headaches

Remember the (false) stories about certain cars that supposedly came with "sealed' engines because they never needed any work? I recall that legend about Rolls Royce from when I was a kidlet.
Here is the way modern manufacturers try to discourage you from getting your inquisitive little paws in there. Behold the "sealed" engine.

|papasgonefishin||I'm with ya man. I don't really get a car that's chopped so bad you need mirrors to see the traffic light. That"s nothing compared to some of the crazy [cool?] stuff we see. The oh wow factor is always worth something but all that money... maybe I'm just jealous cause I'm poor, but I get your drift.check out welderup.com|
