Any one used the procomp heads yet. i have read a lot of good and bad. The bad seems to be small like valve covers not fitting right. I looked at them for some time at Skip White site.

I'm getting some bad information from KB's site. Your SCR would be more like 9.55:1. I'm going to have to begin figuring this stuff myself instead of taking someone else's word for it.
Use a cam with intake duration somewhere between 205 and 220, with 212 as a middle ground.

|fordss||What cam should I use With that ratio ? I want to try to use my stock torque converter.The heads will only do as high as 550 lift . My car is 3300 lbs. Any help would be great|

Just get the information the form asks for and it will calculate your c.r., if you have dish pistons, need to know the volume of the dish in cc's, how far the piston is down in the hole at TDC, typically .025", compressed gasket thickness, typically .041", etc.
We could guess at about 9.5:1, but...

|fordss||Ok I was thinking of do procomp 58cc head 210 flow I just don't know what my compression ratio be. I do not know how to do calculator tool on the web. It is 1991 chevy 350 if some one could tell what it would be great|

what will my compression ratio be
1991 chevy 350 with stock pistons I believe dish pistons going to put procomp 58cc heads on. What would the compression ratio be.

|DoubleVision||You don't want to use 193 heads. These are TBI "Swirl Port" heads. They give a engine real good low end torque and fuel economy, but due to the swirl port, they run out of breath at 3000 RPM.|

|mikesnyhere||I used a 270 adv duration with 9.1 to comp. ratio it worked really well on a ported 302 . I would hesitate to use it on anything less than 8.8 . what is recommended ? the 268 is a high energy Crane ? their recommended specs should tell you a recommended CR , and if new springs are needed . best to look at what the cam manufactures suggests .|

Head identification and c.r.
Want to know what the chamber size of a chevy head, 14102193...As much as l looked up, l can't find the chamber sizes, l found the valve size. Any help would be appreciated thanks
