fox_forma looking to keep costs down and find something local hopefully, possibly from another vehicle if need be. I can do the GC or GN conversion for around $150 but if i can find a direct drop in from a doner vehicle I would rather do that.

OneMoreTime Try the guys at Borgeson.com as they specialize in steering boxes..Most likely yours is a Saginaw of some kind and there maybe a direct bolt up box..As far as the lines are concerned some fabrication may be required..

going to power steering from manual

I have manual steering in my 64 lark that has a buick 455 in it. I just purchased a pull power steering pump with lines for the 455 and now looking to hopefully find a direct drop in. I see a bunch of options going with a grand cherokee box or grand national box but they all need to have the lines converted over to work. Is there a direct drop in steering box that won't be 4-4.5 turns for wheel lock and maybe closer to 3.5 turns?
