Do you recall the fix for the actual paint job?
I've been doing this as a hobby for about 50 years and it never ceases to amaze me how many things can go wrong.
Paint will stick to a car 100 feet away but then peel off in sheets from the car at hand.

In the old Mustang factory every couple days about half a dozen cars came out of the paint oven conveyor with crinkled paint. They used a big street sweeper-wet scrubber to clean the floors in the factory of oil and grease spills from forklifts, tugs, etc. The sweeper operator was mixing in some "Hot " solvent, to better remove the grease and when he ran past the Paint ovens the solvent fumes were being drawn into the fresh air intakes for the paint booths.

|ggorman||Thanks. I'm not talking about a large area so tomorrow I'll sand the base and the sealer and start over with a new seal coat. The substrate was well sanded with 400 and clean before the sealer went on. I didn't spray the seal coat evenly since I figured it would hide anyway. So I don't know if it was too thin or too thick. Live and learn, I'm only 72 so I have time to do it right.|

It likely happened because the sealer was too thin, so the solvents from the chromabase went thru it, lifting it off the substrate. Or it was too thick, and didn't fully flash off so it was soft and the same thing happened, solvents from the chromabase went thru it.
The other option is that the substrate wasn't sanded properly and the sealer wasn't adhered to it so the solvent from the chromabase went under it.

crinkle spots in base coat
This afternoon I shot DuPont ChromaBase over Nason urethane sealer and had a couple of spots react like it wasn't cured even though I waited quite a while. I didn't time myself but I went to lunch.
Is there any reason to ChromaBase would react to the Nason product?
Now, can I sand these spots to flat and recoat?
