A big thankyou to someone

I must also mention, and thank the folks behind my wife and I in a white ford pickup. They held up traffic long enough for us to nab the little guy. A life, no matter how small, is always worth saving. Thank you.

Looked for Bocars, found a shopcat instead.

Came to Midland this week to hunt Bocars and chat with Jim Hall, instead worked on helping this little guy who had been tossed out a car window on Garfield Ave. Looks like I have a new shopcat.

I looked all over for a plain painted bumper for the back, but could not find one. Fixing what I have instead. The truck is the stock color. Dark Torreador Red, or something like that. The mirrors and the bumpers will be body color as well. And yeah, it was a hit to the wallet, but I think it was worth it. I couldn't have done it nearly as well or in nearly the same time frame. It will still be a couple of weeks yet to get the bed finished.

I like those saw horses. They fold flat to stow out of the way, and they're pretty sturdy. They're screwed to the plywood decking with the casters, the 2 x 4's are screwed to the saw horses, and the bumpers are screwed to the 2 x 4's. Hard to do that with metal.

Aug 18th 1945 I think was the year. I got such a chuckle out of Nick when he saw that paper he read and read and read the thing, out loud. It was so damn funny, especially the "Ask a question" portion where people would ask questions about history or what ever. I found my self looking a few up on the computer as that is where I was sitting and it hit me how someone asked those questions and waited days and days for the paper to print it and I was finding out the info in seconds. We had fun with that paper. I picked it up at an antique store in town.

I had to cut out the spring pocket in the lower control arm for the coil over to fit but that was the only mod to convert over.
Ok, I got it. Summit, Jegs whoever may sell them, just like QA1s. For some reason I thought that was the only or "thee" place to buy them........
