st3gamefarm Yes, once you get the "glass" fitting the track, and shape. In order to get the proper rolldown height, take it from the bottom. You want the highest part of it to be flush with the outside of the door. (when rolled down.

OneMoreTime That part of making patterns is to get the part to work just right to suit you..Good one to take a bit off of the bottom..

Gas Cap Hi OneMoreTime,
I could still take some off the bottom of the pattern I'm making to make it lower.

Dave 39 I have a full set of glass out of my 39 Chevy coupe on a shelf in my shop. Would be glad to make and send a pattern. My new glass sits just flush with the top of the window fuzzies. PM me. Dave

OneMoreTime I wonder if the window operator system has any adjustment to allow the window to go down that last little bit??

Gas Cap Ok.. I made my pattern but now I'm not sure how much of the glass (if any) should be showing when the window is all the way down.
I tried to find pictures on the the web but could not find a good closeup.

At this time the glass would be below the door in the front and back but
some of the glass would be sticking out close to the middle.

I attached some pictures. I hope they show what I mean.

Gas Cap Thanks for the input.
I'll try making a template.

33Willys77 1/4 inch plywood works great for glass templates. Start with corregated cardboard and trace it to plywood. The plywood does not bend like cardboard so you know you have the right fit. Here, the glass companies will actually come out and make thier own patterns and fit the glass themselves. Sure makes it easier. You may want to try your local glass companies and see if they will do this.

Need window pattern for 1939 chevy 2D

I have a 1939 Chevy 2D sedan that need glass for the doors.
I thought I saved them when I got the car but they may have been
shot out.
Any way, I would like to know if some one could send me a tracing of their
glass so I could get some windows made...
I know this is a lot to ask, but it's worth trying.
