Try some PB Blaster, Liquid Wrench, or my all time favorite...Marvel Mystery Oil!!!! Let it sit at least overnight before you try to wrench it. Then if it doesn't budge, get a hacksaw and cut it off. Go back to the place you got the bracket and ask them for the rest of the battery clamp.
cut off the terminal, resplice the wire with scisors or a knife (something) back about 1/2'' to 3/4'', and put on the new terminal.
