We started a trivia thread over at another forum and it has been a lot of fun.
Here are the ground rules. It starts with one question. The first reply with the right answer gets the floor for a new question. It continues like that unless, A) the person who has the floor doesn't ask a new question, or B) no one gets the correct answer. In that case, the person with the floor asks a new question. No more than one question on the floor at a time, and discussion/clarification is welcome until the floor is taken over by a new question.
First question: In the 1952 Indy 500, what type of fuel was burned in the record-setting pole-position #28 car? Hint: it won pole position by a full 4 mph over the second-place Ferrari
How many American cars in the 60’s had a handle with a push button and twisted? This is indeed a puzzler. If I had the address of Brian's shop I would Google Earth it......

While early tires were made of white gum rubber they were not truly " white walls" Black carbon was added to give traction and endurance.
What company invented the "white wall" tire. They still make them today. Not reproductions.
No Coker tire bought many original moulds from a number of tire manufacturer and are making Re-Pops of the tires. This company began making white walls back in the late teens early 20's.
BB :thumbup::thumbup:
Bf Goodrich built a tire called I think Silvertown probably was the first American manufacture to factory install white wall tires .,I was thinking white tire like the early 1900.
Nope, nope and nope! American company, been around along time. They have always made high end tires. You won't find them at just any old tire store. As I explained in the origional question I'm not talking about all white gum rubber tires. I am talking about a true white wall.
