street/strip tires for 10 second ride

My 3,100 pound (with driver) street driven 29 A Sedan runs high 10s at 120 mph in the quarter. Trans is a TH 350, 4,000 stall A-1 convertor, 3.54 gears, and a 4/71 blown 355 SBC with dual Holley 600 carbs. I have been happy with Goodyear Eagle radial slicks which yield 60 ft times 1.55-1.60. I do not own a trailer so simply drive to the track, swap on the slicks, open the exhaust, and race. To further simplify race prep, I recently tried a pair of BFG street/strip ODOT tires which allowed me to drive from home to the track, open the exhaust, and begin making passes. Unfortunately, the BFG street/strip tires proved to be utterly worthless. Despite trying varying tire pressures, as recommended by BFG, the car would not hook up on a dry, mild 70 degree day on a well-prepped Woodburn race surface. 60 ft times dropped to 2.0 plus and the A would unsafely go side ways at the 1-2 shift of the TH 350. So anyone out there have a recommendation OTHER THAN BFG for a street/strip ODOT-legal radial tire that will hook up in a 10 second ride ? Thanks for any suggestions.
