1gearhead I agree, not tire/wheel guys place to tell you what size to put on your car other that what is safe for your wheel size. I have a 1934 Ford Coupe and I am running P155/65R15 on the front and P255/70R15 on the rear and the car looks great, lots of attitude.

Irelands child Go here and look your week away: Tire Rack - Your performance experts for tires and wheels

As far as taking a wheel manufacturer's recommendation for tire size for your particular car - that's not his responsibility or place. His ONLY tire guideline is what min/max tread width is acceptable for his wheel. You have to determine what looks best on your car. For instance, my '31 has 205-60x15 on the front, 265-60x17 on the rear to fill the wheel well

get placed a order for some custom rims.

theWheelsmith - Wire Wheels and Accessories

They are going on a 1929 ford. The front rime size is 15x6 and the rear are 15x7. they recommend that I get 195x65 for the front and 235x75 for the rear.

Question is what brand of tires? I am going for the best looking.
