|chevelle496||The backend sits a little high too. I can't figure out how to post a picture, I'm on a smartphone right now. I'm gonna have to get under the car and scope everything out. I didn't think I'd have any trouble getting stock ride height|

I've seen this exact issue many times. Springs were not seated "in" the perch and hung up on the perch.
The a-arm bolts do need to be retorqued with the weight on them.
Other than those things, make sure the springs were are correct for your application. A-body, year, sbc or bbc, a/c, wagon, hd, etc. When I had to get new coils for my '70 Buick Skylark GS, I had 5-6 different springs that I could choose from.
After the install, it took about two weeks of driving around and the front did settle down some, but certainly not over and inch. More like 1/4" to 1/2", at most.
Maybe you need/want dropped spindles?
Could you post some pictures? How's the back end sit? Low?

|chevelle496||I could do that but everything appears stock so when I put the motor and trans in the car should sit like factory ride hieght... the front shocks were changed before I bought the car maybe that has something to do with it. But i don't know, i suppose that'll be the next thing I change.|

|killeratrod||cut a coil off of the old springs and see if you like it . do the shocks have helper springs? someting is keeping it up in the air.|

chevelle front end sitting too high!!
I recently bought a nice 69 chevelle and put a built 327 and th400 in it but the front end still sat like there was no motor or trans. I bought brand new small block coil springs and installed them to see if that could be the issue and nothing changed at all. If anyone could suggest anything please let me know. Everything seems right but its possible I could be overlooking something, thanks
