You guys are spooking me over my current job!
Aren't suicide locks standard fare?

When I was in high school out screwing off in my truck one night with my buddies I spun around a corner fast and the door swung open with my buddy luckily hanging out the window so he didn't fall out! I will never forget looking over to see him swinging on the door!

How long before someone gets skewered on one of those?
If it can happen, it will happen.

My trade-in didn't stay on the lot. It was gone right away since they didn't have any used 2500s. Apparently, the guy that bought it was looking for 6 months for one....
I bought a new RAM. We're going to test the 6.4 Hemi, my other one was 5.7..... It actually came with a 5th wheel package. Heavier duty truck than my last RAM.

Dang cheap aftermarket parts !!
Glad there is no apparent damage to the door.
Doesn't your wife drive the truck ? Get her broke in with the trailer too...
Yeah, right, my wife drove the old 2000 Silverado maybe 6 times in the 10 years I had it. I don't recall her ever driving the 2011 in the 15 months I've had that one either.
That reminds me, did you buy a new truck or have the issue with your old one repaired ? What was it ? ball joints ?

How to remember the hard way you have suicide doors. Open said doors while going down the road!
Went for probably the last cruz. Had just put in fresh anti-freeze after running water with cleaner in the cooling system for a while.
Nice nite. Smooth road, smile on face.
County Sheriff fly's up behind me and sits there for miles. Ddidn't have a working speedo, kept tach around 2400, should be close to 55, and backed her down if the wheel started to shake, again at just over 55.
Got tired of it and pulled over on a side road. We're in the middle of nowhere. Cop goes on by and I turn around to head home.
Seat belt wasn't on and caught in the door. Decided to put it on. So, to get it unstuck, out of habit I opened the door. Yousa! Thankfully I believe I was going under 30. She flung open and I held on for dear life to the handle while slowing down. Handle snapped in my hand and the door goes completely open.
Thankfully, no damage. Shoulder isn't feelin' too good. And we're suppose to drive across country tomorrow pulling a 5th wheel.. Wife isn't exactly thrilled.
Looks like the shaft snapped at the groove for the clip. Again, the door has no damage....
C'MON MAN!!!!!!!!!! WHAT A BRAIN FART!!!!! DARN HABITS......

|7nomad8||Remember the "shoebird" Late model ( 90s) T-bird with 49-51 Ford sheet metal ? I personally think that this Explorer is pretty cool. Yeah, it needs some finishing touches, but overall it looks like somebody did some good work (quite a bit) on it and it shows a good imagination, and I wish I could afford it. I want to take a two door, two wheel drive S-10 blazer and graft on 54 Chevy front clip and rear fenders, then lower it.|

As for the crescent wrench engine mount it seem that the "creativity" is spread around a lot. Rubber freeze plugs, the no access skid plate and a few other "unusual items. I firmly believe that everyone has a right to do what they like on their own car.
