68NovaSS Looks like either a '72 307 or either a '73 or '74 350, you need to find the raised date casting. What are the cast code numbers on the drivers side bell housing extension? Suffix codes are here:

Who knows

Hi,
I just bought a 1979 corvette, it came with a non matching number engine.
The engine number is v0310ckh17d470700.

Does anyone know what this is
I understand and maybe incorrectly,
V = manufactured in flint plant,
03= manufactured in march
10 = manufactured on the 10th day,
But what does CKH identify,

Ideally if I can find out the engine size, and what was to be bolted to it this would be great.

Much appreciated,

Cheers
Lefty
