We started a trivia thread over at another forum and it has been a lot of fun.

Here are the ground rules. It starts with one question. The first reply with the right answer gets the floor for a new question. It continues like that unless, A) the person who has the floor doesn't ask a new question, or B) no one gets the correct answer. In that case, the person with the floor asks a new question. No more than one question on the floor at a time, and discussion/clarification is welcome until the floor is taken over by a new question.

See this thread for an example of how it goes: http://grassrootsmotorsports.com/forum/off-topic-discussion/trivia/1454/page1/

First question: In the 1952 Indy 500, what type of fuel was burned in the record-setting pole-position #28 car? Hint: it won pole position by a full 4 mph over the second-place Ferrari

Bingo!
This is a HKS PISTON RESIZER TOOL. Clamp the piston in the wooden jaws then clamp both of them into a vice. Run the knurling tool up and down the piston skirt while tightening the tool adjuster and the piston is expanded to fit a worn cylinder. Add new rings and back into the wholes they go. Eliminate piston slap. This tool is a little different then other I've seen . Most tools work in a circular motion. This one goes up and down.

Go for it kelly!

Brian, the item I am looking for is not as obvious as the hood.

496, You are right I should have been a little more clear with the question. I am looking for the 64 only item that most people would probably not notice in the GTO "optioned" Lemans
Actually I had never noticed it until it was mention on a Barrett-Jackson auction.

I should have read the question better ,I didn't notice 1964

the GTO was offered as an option an the Lemans Tempest in 1964 only

starting in 1965 is was a GTO identified by a D on the bottom corner of cowl tag( some thing to look for on a clone )

but still no id # to separate it from base mode;s
