I have a 1934 Pontiac 2door sedan streetrod. it currently has standard drum brakes all around. I want to upgrade the front brakes to power and I purchased a brake booster and master cylinder set-up. I am not wanting to change the drum brakes up front to disc at this time. will my brake booster and cylinder setup work with the drum brakes as installed on this car? any help will be greatly appreciated...ed

Adding a booster should work fine with your drum brakes. I saw that Speedway (and certainly others) sell an adaptor that bolts to the master bracket on your chassis (2 bolt) and is drilled for the 4 bolts on most boosters.

I have discs up front, and have been contemplating adding a booster to my setup using that same adaptor. I may have to change masters too because of the piston size.

As long as you purchased a master cylinder that is designed for drum brakes you should be fine.

The only thing that would be different on a non power brake assisted car would be the pedal ratio. The stock ratio would work but it might not give you the correct "feel". Lessening the pedal ratio should give you a better pedal feel with the booster since the manual brakes required more leverage to operate.
