I have a clearance problem with the wheel cyl and the flex line hitting the spring shackle on my 1931 ford axle. Can I rotate the backing plate without creating any new problems? will bleeding the brakes be a problem? I am adding juice brakes to this 1931 frame and axle.
thanks
I can't visualize the problem, but I would have no problem changing things around, as long as the bleeder screw is toward the top of the wheel cylinder. If it's on the bottom, it's useless.
I had to do this recently on an A rear end in an antique race car restoration. I had no problem bleeding it, but I only rotated it enough for line clearance.
