My dad said "You can fix it up for parades, and a collector's item. You don't want to soup it up; it'd be a death trap." and "it's good enough stock"
What confuses me is that he added a bigger carb and yanked off the air pump and the air cleaner (so it's a regular open element). What could an intake, mild cam, and some porting hurt, along with a little more compression?
This is how I sort-of want to sell it. Parts are hard to find also.

My '71 Javelin with a 304(215hp stock) w/ a 3spd manual tranny ran mid 15's and it was stock except the tires and air shocks. I ran dead even with an auto tranny Javelin SS/T w/ a 360(275hp stock?). We ran from a roll repeatedly, and were always locked dead even. I think the auto tranny and milder gear ratio ate up the extra HP he had.
I think 15's or low 16's is about right for his car. I'd be shocked if it ran a 14-anything. Of course, the best way to tell is just take it to the track!

Javelin 1/4 times
My dad says his jav (a '74, 220hp 360v8, 4-sp, 3.43rear) will run the quarter in 14 flat. He removed the air pump, added a bigger carb, and added an open-element air cleaner. I feel that somewhere in the 15s are more legitimate.
Oh yes, in good shape, (it runs but I think its brakes dont work) and complete, how much would it be worth? Also- where can I find parts for it? (if I decide to keep it, but he's being a pain about restoring it to factory. I want a mild buildup)
