DoubleVision that`s how a limited slip diff works, all the limited slip additive from GM does is eliminate "chatter"
However, the diff could be wore out, but in most causes they work off resistance, if there`s no load on one wheel that wheel will recieve the power, I learned with limited slip diffs long ago, the wheel with the less traction will spin more than the wheel with traction, almost like pulling off the side of the road with one tire on pavement the other on grass, the one on the grass will spin like rip and the other won`t kick in at all.

While changing tire on rear end ; I noticed that the wheel was turning but the other side wasnt because that side was sitting on the ground. It has the ( limited slip fluid only tag) , I know that doesnt mean anything. Took the cover off and every looked good and it had the plates and s spring. Now , because its been sitting a while or does the fluid make it work?
