Rack and pinion 1970 mustang
There is a guy in Escondido, Ca that works out of Classic Mustang that built the rak and pinion in mt mustang, its a bolt in system. Address:

Here is how to do it on a Falcon.
The Falcon front end isn't that much different than the Falcon. The dimensions are a little different, but the suspension is very similar.

Your mustang uses the same front end as the maverick, comet, granada, and monarch. 74 and later mustang, pinto, and bobcat were rack and pinion/double A arm suspension. There is a kit available to convert the front end to the "A" arm suspension for the early mustang. Its a lot of work though. Try some of the mustang magazines such as Mustangs and Fords.|

ok guys come on now, there has to be some mustang enthusiast that has tried or found something before on this topic , come on help a fellow mustang man out, I found out a 1974 mustang comes with a rack and pinion...
How much different in the front end and frame is a 1974 mustang and my 1970???
Mustang II's came with them, will one of those work???

I have noticed one thing though, in my entire life, i have never seen anyone build a mustang like mine, they are awesome cars and people put exhausts on them and like a cam or intake, but im going all out on this car, no holds barred!!!
I figured like 4 jaw or tom or someone could help me here!!!
They have always been (to me) good friends of mine that have helped me out so much in the past before...
Anyways, please help!!! there are like a thousand rodders on this site everyday, someone has to know something...

lol because im lazy, and when im blowing sideways or blowing donuts in the local parking lot, i dont want to have to be superman to turn the steering wheel quickly back and forth, i want to be able to do all of this with one hand while using my other hand to sip on my beer,change the radio station, let go of the e-brake, etc.
Plus its a challenge...something new, not many people have done
I have to be different, unique, i dont want my car being like everyone elses... ya know?

I"m pretty sure that your Mustang could be had with manual steering from the factory. Why don't you just look into replacing the power steering unit with a factory manual one?

1970 mustang frond end????
My mustang i think hasd the most silliest frond end components on it. With the power steering box, the steering cylinder, and all the tie rods, and what not.
What i want to know is i want to get rid of my power steering pump, and change over to someones rack and pinion, either a mustang II or a 80's mustang rack and pinion.
Do you know of any kits i can buy, or has anyone does this?? How much work would it involve.
I was hoping someone would have made a kit for it, because i dont want to have to do a lot of fabrication, know what i mean??
Please help with what every you can
