Carbed95GT Actually, it wasn't that bad at all. The white wasn't inside the lettering.............it was simply bordering the letters. The stuff inside of the letters was more yellowish. But here's the secret. In addition to your steel woll, you're gonna need a little paint reducer, too. The little story about your wife made us laugh. Me and the husband both read it, and I think we got some weird mental picture of a car just bouncing from curb to curb.

Shortstep 95GT Ur tuffer than my old lady if you rubbed off a set of white letters! As many times as she rubbed all the curbs in town hers never came off. All the ones I've ever had was real deep in the tire. BFG T/A's you can't take off with Ajax!

Carbed95GT I had a similar problem with my E/T Streets. I thought they looked like *** with the white lettering, so I got some steel wool, and actually scrubbed the white part off. Probably not a real smart thing to do, but it worked.

Kevin45 Just tell the tire place you want a set of blackwall tires. They will either have them in stock or can order them, If the inside is not going to be exposed then just reverse the tire.

poncho62 Turn them around. They should be black on the inside.

Pony Turn them with the white letters inside and use tire black (a tire paint) on the letters.

Raised White Letters?

Is their any way to either cut-off, paint-over or omit Raised White Letters on tires? Having problems finding all black wall tires for my roadster in the size that works!
