|Carbed95GT||Cool! So can you or Randal sell me something for my AOD?|

You can buy a converter that does not need a shaft changed for non lockup.
The AOD is driven directly from the converter when the trany shifts to 3rd gear.
you can buy a converter that has been modified internally .
I have such a converter in an AOD behind a 300 inline 6 .
call mon-friday 1-800-274-7223.... ask for Randal.
I am not Randal, I work with him.

Question about AOD.......lock up vs. non lock up
I'm in the market for a torque converter for my '89 Mustang. I've been checking out the specs and pricing, but one thing has me stumped. I know the diff between lock-up and non lock-up. However, I know that the input shafts have to be changed in order for me to run the non lock-up........and I heard that once you make that change, the car isn't so "streetable". The price difference between the converters is a couple hundred bucks, but I don't wanna screw it up to the point where I can't drive and enjoy it. Any advice?
