. Start with a Mercury Marine 900" BBC V8 and add twin blowers, twin turbos and nitrous... or a Keith Black aluminum Hemi with BDS blower...

. Now, if wanting to get back to most people's idea of reality, tell us what you're starting with, what you'd like to do with it within reason, whether you like to deal with power adders or not, and about what budget you want to work with and we'll give you some suggestions... you can go faster for a few hundred dollars... on up...

firestone As far as the meanest beast out there, I would either go with a supercharged 406 with AFR 210 heads, or a 598 with AFR 355cc heads. Either of these motors with a hyd roller cam that makes power from 2500-6500 will make between 800 and 900 hp on pump gas. You will be looking at between $12000-$15000 for either of those motors, but it costs alot for that much hp while being streetable. If you wanted to go all out, you could build a blown 598 with AFR 357cc heads. That will produce around 1300 hp on pump gas, but you can look at about $20,000. Other than that, just go with a 406 with AFR 195cc heads and a hyd roller cam. That will put you at around 550 hp.

What Is The Ultimate Street/Strip SBC Combo That Any Of You Have Heard Of Or Used? Car's Gonna Be Used 75% Street 25% Track I'm lookin for the most HorsePower And Torque I Can Get With The TQ/HP Curve Starting At Around 2500 RPM (Needs To Still Be Streetable) I've Looked Into Edelbrocks Performer RPM Kit And Holley's Systemax Kit But I'm Wondering If Maybe A Little Custom Tweaking Can Pull Better Numbers, Turbo - SuperCharger - N20 Idea's Are Welcome But Its Gotta Be Reliable And Run On 93 Octane =) , Any Input Is Greatly Appreciated - Thanks Alot.
