coldknock There is no setting for a powervalve. It either works or it doesn't.

Are the float bowls filling up and staying full? If not then you might have a piece of gunk stopping up the needle/seat.

Do you have constant fuel pressure? At least 4-5 psi.

67bird i thought it might be that so i am letting the car sit for now and i will go try in an hour or so! but my nieghbor said something about the power valve being set? do i have to do anything with that?

motor wont fire with new carb

i just bought a remanufactured holley 600 with electric choke, i took off the old one which was the same off of my pon. 400, and first when i put the carb on it fired right up, but then when we tried to mess with the gas it shut off and wont start back up! i have spark and have checked my floats, i cant figure out why it wont fire? please help
