Hi all,
I have to use the short waterpump on my 350 Chevy motor to clear the radiator in the 1954 Powerwagon I'm putting it in. But as I was doing a trial fit last night, I noticed that I will not be able to see the timing marker tag.Which will prevent me from setting the timing when I'm ready to fire it up. Has anyone else encountered this problem and is there an easy fix.
Thanx,
Gumball

Alright man, here I go,

If the tab on the front of the timing cover is right in the middle, you might be able to get an older one and get some timing tape and remark your balancer so that you can check your timing, My dad and I ran into something similar on a 350 H.O. we were putting in a customers car, they had the wrong timing cover with the balancer, so we had to get creative so that we could get the timing correct. <img src="graemlins/pimp.gif" border="0" alt="[pimp]" />
