docs57 I mounted mine on bottom of door, used 1 pulley and run cable to latch, I used the hole that the outside handles rod was in, works good, use 35#or50# solenoids, and don't forget pop outs, my ride is 91 chev pickup. Doc

Forgot to tell you , run some kind of emergency cable in case your battery goes dead. Doc
03-19-2004 10:00 PM Yes, you can weld up the holes anytime. If you mount the solenoids near the bottom of the door and run cable to the latches everything will clear.

shaved doors?

If im gonna use shaved doorhandles on my 78 malibu wagon can i weld up the old handle holes before i do the selonoids ?Im waiting for my kit to come in and wanna weld the holes up while im waiting.Also my car is all power .Are shaved door selenoids gonna fit next to the power window regulators?
