i was told by the auto-tech teacher at my school that my carburator may be the cause of my engine shaking. he said it could just be dirty or something, but he was on his way to a meeting so had to be very brief. what should i look for when cleaning my carb?
could also be a bad miss meaning a cyl. or more aren't getting spark also. what kinda car is it?? check all the plug wires, make sure they look good maybe spray water on them make sure they don't arc out if they do replace all them . also check the entire ignition system for problems bad cap or rotor could cause this also. does it have hei or points? if points the gap could be way small causing not all cyl. to fire.

have you checked the timing?? also when doing so make sure the balacer ring is on correctly and not spinning??
