Truck year? Any ideas...

I recently purchased a pickup that had been left in a field and towed. I purchased it as a lien sale from the tow company. The paper work says that its a '47, however the hood looks to small to be a '46-'47, and the 48-52 parts don't seem to fit (brake drums). The front end has been customized however the hood still has 3 rectanglular holes that run along each side. Any help would be great. Picture attached on reply below...Thanks-
