machine shop tom If it's a set of small block heads: cleaned, magnafluxed, resurfaced: 1-2 hours if the guy is in a hurry. Plus, we'll check the valve for sealing.

tresi Where are you located? If your near mid Missouri you can get head magnafluxed with same day service due to fact that the plant I worked at has closed. If they're clean and dry I'll magnaflux them while you wait for free.

61ChevyTruck when i got my heads machined it took about 10 mins, but that wasn't presure checked r anything just to see if they were warpered or had suface cracks.

Sudden Psycho 31 if you are only wanting them checked, not machined; a shop can "usually" check them in a couple of days depending on their schedule. if you are in good with the shop, and the have the equipment open they will sometimes do it on the spot.
i guess it depends how good of a customer you are

how long would it take to have my heads checked for cracks, holes, etc?
