Kevin Varnes I know the early g-bodies were available with a manual transmission at least up to '81 (my old '81 Cutlass could have been ordered with a three speed manual trans). I have seen a few manual trans g-bodies floating around on ebay so they are out there. With the popularity of these cars and the desire to have something other than an automatic in them, some aftermarket restoration parts places have made available almost every part you would need to convert over to a manual trans. Look around and you can find it.

Deuce I believe some Monte Carlo's came with clutch pedals. I know some late 70s Malibus and El Caminos did. I would look at these for pedals ro put in the Olds. :p :p

johnsongrass1 Olds of that vintage were never offerd in a manual tranny configuration so every thing would need to be fabricated. Even the holes in the fire wall we need to be measured and fabricated. I would'nt do it. Don't think the time and money invested to do it right is worth it.

What is the difficult level of converting my Cutlass from an automatic to a standard? Will the clutch assembley from a Camaro or Corvette help ease the pain??
