Carzilla it be awsome just to cruise around in, but for hot rod status it would need a bigger engine like a 5.0 HO or a 5.8 police interceptor

I'm sorry, but if I'm gonna do anything to a car that would remotely deserve the title of being called a 'hot rod', it's gonna have a bigger engine in it than what's in there now.
I agree, I did find the concept unusual. But if I was going to build it a different engine would be sitting back there. It looks like they adapted a Harley engine to a VW transaxle. There is an adapter available to mount a Ford 2.3 to a VW transaxle. I think a turbo 2.3 would make it a lot more fun.

Shoot, I'd drop an SBF in a go cart. This guy just did the opposite.

I guess that's what happens when you have too much junk laying around and get drunk.

ChevelleSS_LS6 thay should make a "twin mill" version in a dune buggy "body". Oh that'd raise all sorts of heck.

One of the cars I saw in the 4th of July parade had a Harley engine in it.

There I was, sitting there with the kids, watching the Creston, Iowa 4th of July parade, when this cool little buggy rolls by. I had just told the kids it was probably VW powered, even though it just did not sound quite right, when I caught sight of the engine. It was a Harley Davidson engine! Sure surprised me.

We found it at
