I don't have access to professional shop tools so what would be the next easiest and neatest way with home workshop tools.The hole will be about 11 inches diameter and it's for an early Mustang hood. Thanks
a sawzall with a good metal cutting blade would be my weapon of choice. unless i had access to someone who knew what they were doing with a plasma cutter.:mwink:
I watched a guy torch his hood on his f-bird in auto shop at h.s the guy was a total idiot and the paint looked nasty where it bubbled out further than the scoop covered. he felt cool though.

I just used a jig-saw with a metal-cutting blade. My hood is aluminum so it was probably a little easier than cutting through steel, but I'm sure a jigsaw would work fine for you.
