5window Check out the folks at Coker Tire (cokertire.com). I have found them to be very helpful . If their catalog doesn't give you conversion sizes, they will promptly answer your e-mailed questions and give you suggestions on new tire sizes.

firechicken383 Yes thats what I meant, guess I was trying not to confuse him with just width.

dmorris1200 235 is tire width (or Section Width), not tread width. Two totally different things.

firechicken383 The 235 is the tread width, the 75 is the sidewall height. Its a ratio of the tread width. So your sidewall height is 75% of your tread width. 255/70/r15 would be taller and wider.

i need some help with tire sizes

on my truck i currently have 235/75 r15 on it i want a taller wider tire but i dont understand the numbers, i know the 15 is rim size so what are the other 2
