EBlack36 I did find the sheet in the box after I got home from work this afternoon and I am going to do it this weekend. I did look at the threads and 98% of them have to do with Small Block Chevys which is normally what I play with and I knew how to do those, but this is the first time I have had a Small Block FORD for apart in over 25 years and was hoping some of the Ford experts on here could help me as I have help a number of people over the last couple of years. Thanks Kultuz for telling me to look where I should have looked in the first place.

dubie Click on the link below. It's the best description on how to adjust the valve in a SBC that I have ever run across. It's the step by step process I used to do mine

EDIT: upon reading your first post, i see it must be a Ford we are talkin about, so just ignore the link. But I figure I would leave it up here just in case someone is looking for a good SBC valve link

KULTULZ Didn't EDELBROCK give you a sheet? It all depends on how the valvetrain has been modified (if it has been modified), solid or hydraulic.

Adjusting Valves

OK guys I know that I will get some grief, but I am going to ask anyway. I just changed the cam in the Cougar (It had a Wolverine Blue Racer Cam and I changed to an Edlebrock Performer Plus) and I need to know the correct way to adjust the valves prior to startup. I have not done this for several years and previously it was just on Chevrolet's. I also added the GM style HEI and the internal regulated alternator while I had it apart. I just do not know about this Ford stuff. Thanks i appreciate the assistance.
