09-20-2004 01:53 PM That NoLimit kit is for the '55-'59 frame which came from the factory w/ thru-the-frame steering. The top-of-the-frame position I put my Toyota steering gear is almost exactly where the stock unit went on the pre-'55 Advance Design frame.

Slickriffs Thanks Stu..Didn't realize there was so much compatible with the old 235.

Willy's...Crank that sucker up!..I want a progress report on all your additions. I think I'm goin with the Toyota power steering also. NO-Limit has a similar kit. Mounts near original position instead of on top of frame rail. Thanks for the info about stove-bolt.

09-20-2004 12:55 PM I just installed a 200R4 on my 253 using a Langdon's StoveBolt Engine Co. adaptor. Haven't started the engien yet but the tranny went on w/o problems.

Automatic trans for 235?

Anyone familiar with what automatics are readily compatible with a truck with a 235 engine? I think a 4 speed automatic was an original trans option.
