I was talking to a guy that uses a product from 3M for his "finish" sanding. I am not really sure what exactlly the product line was called but it looked like the hook side of velcro. He stated that it gets rid of all the orange peal and can be used on the max setting of a DA. Does anyone know what the product line is and what all is needed to use the DA? Has anyone used this or a simular product? I really hate wetsnading and this seems like a great idea.

Hi I use a similar product all the time... It does save time at the cost of quality but isent much more different then just buying a regular da and sanding away. (Like a wise man once told me nothing beats a good sanding block and elbow grease)

I think what you are talking about is 3m's Hook-it 2 da Sanding thingy mabobers. :p :D

Click on the sanding portion of it. It should tell you all you need.

Thanks for the links... I think the next paint job I do I am going to try it. I painted a 65 Cutlass not too long ago and the wet-sanding was a pain, I felt like I was getting no where. How long should you wait for the wet-sanding? I waited about 48 hours.
