brainsboy I have never seen an adapter that fits under the smaller blowers, usually the purpose of these is to keep as low as possible, so they fit under the hood. Anything around 6-7 psi with those 6-71s works great for the street, they run underdriven and wont create loads of heat. With any blower setup heat is your enemy, and I would start planning a better cooling system.

BLOWN 1100 Pick the 671, you won't have to turn it as fast which will make for a cooler charge

Blower question

Hey Crew.
Im getting ready to buy my rebuild kit for my blower motor. Im not sure if Im going with a big 6-71 or a smaller unit like the 142 or 174 powercharger units.
Question? Do they make an adaptor plate for between the blower and intake to raise the height on these blowers? Id like to have the sticking thru the hood look, but I like the ease, price and single carb idea of a smaller blower. Tnx, HG
