Where is the best place to search for engine block codes for a small block? I really need to know ASAP. Thank you for helping me.

hi there , welcome aboard.
the block numbers are usually in 2 places,at the very back top of the engine where it bolts on to the transmssion, and also on the front pasenger side of the block where the heads meet the block.
you will probably have to use something to scrape the area off in order to see it , if its the same # as the serial # it is the original block for that car.
hope this helps mike

It's all cool my friends need to know because they are going to buy a engine but they don't know what type of engine it is because it is out of the truck and has been sitting for a few years. We just can't find where to find the best site to look the numbers up. We have the numbers from the engine wrote down but we can't match them up with any of the engine sizes.
