I want to make custom taillights for my 85 GMC Sierra, anybody have any suggestions on what I can do or what I should do? I tried looking for taillight covers for it but couldn't find any. So I decided I'd make some or do something along that line. I got a spare set of taillights to experiment with so that I don't take a chance of messing up the ones that are on the truck now.
i believe the '85 taillights are really quite small. if you want to do something custom i think i'd fill in where the taillights are now with metal and find something really cool off another vehicle to custom install in there. maybe you could fill in the ends of the box and then put in some vertical cadillace LED strips like on the new Deville?
what would I need to do to keep my truck legal. I really like the looks of that. If you look down towards the bottom of the page it says that they are not d.o.t approved does that mean that they arent legal or what?
