Nightfire Take those $900, buy an intake, new cam, port polislh the heads and get some headers. Rebuilt your carburator and dress the engine up a bit. This way you keep originality and you can waken that mouse up a bit.

RCastle That is not too bad. But I do not know exactly how much of a pin the swap would be,as I have not done it.I would not think it would be too awful hard, should probably be about the same. But I am just not sure. You could take that $900.00 and throw in your engine though and wake it up.What is your engine set-up as of now?

RCastle How good of a deal is he giving you?You can bring a SBC to life for very little coin man.Other than that just take measurements of all the mounts distance and check against yours.Never swapped anything into a chevy that wasn't a chevy.

engine/tranny swap

Hello.
Im new.
I bought a 1972 chevelle with a orig 350 and an auto tranny.
It is a real dog, No power.
A friend has offered me a good deal on a rebuilt 389 and auto tranny from a 65 GTO.
How hard would it be to swap this power plant for the other?
Thank's
