Wmarden yes. They are both chevy motors. Unfortunately by then the pontiacs have the lesser motor as opposed to the true greatness that is pontiac power.

87 Trans Am Engine Swap

I'm currently looking at an '87 Pontiac Trans Am for sale without an engine or transmission. It originally had a TPI 350 V8. Additionally, I know of an '87 Camaro Iroc-Z TPI 350 engine only for sale also. I would like to buy the engine and put it in the Trans Am. I presume that these engines were pretty much identicle. Would the swap work? Any help would be great.
