The rear brackets are the same
The fronts are not!!!!!! I also think that the rear bumper of 71-72 on a 70 looks out of place.
But what the hell do I know Ive got a buick 455 in the engine bay

|speede5||not an ss or I would be on your side poncho. it's a 300 deluxe drum brake no option car so I don't mind making it into what I think it should have been. They put the dual round tailights on the 70 vette and camaro, they should have kept going with the chebelle. besides it kinda mimics the front dual lights. the best front end i think a chevelle ever had. i would love to post pictures but i don't have a digital yet|

As a former 70 owner....................."BLASPHEMY"
That means............don't do it, especially, if it has the SS bumper with the rubber insert.

|speede5||I'd be willing to bet they would work, at least I'm hoping they are all the same. I want to put a 71-72 rear bumper on my 70 when I restore it. I always thought those were the tailights that should have been on the 70. good luck keep me posted|

70 chevelle bumper brackets
Im pretty sure 70-72 bumpers on chevelles are universal,. but does anyone know if the mounting brackets are? I want to use the same year bumper,. but Im having a hard time finding 70 brackets for 71/72 prices. Can I use 71 or 72 rear brackets to mount the 70 bumper?
