poncho62 No matter what unit you get, you are going to have to weld in brackets to mount it to.

Front steer

Seems to me that one of the fellows here did something like that using the chev cavalier unit..about an 89-90..took a bit of doing but it worked out OK..

Might try a search and see what you come up with..

theHIGHLANDER Beimg a "front steer" there's nothing I know of. I had one (72). You can add rack and pinion but thr rack needs to be like 6 to 7inches ahead of the main crossmember to avoid bump steer. You may also look for a rack that has a wider than normal spacing at the inner swivels allowing a longer tie rod end, thus closer to the crossmember and still no bump steer. Seems like late model T/A Z28 might be a good start.

looking for bolt in rack and pinion

Does anyone know of a bolt in rack and pinion application for a 71 camaro similar to the unitsteeroids makes for the 67-69??
